This is done by evaluating strengths and weaknesses an athlete posseses.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">In order to use sport tests data efficiently testing must be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid. The test should resemble the sport<\/li>\n<li>Reliable. Its the consistency of a test. An athlete should produce the same result if performance is the same<\/li>\n<li>Accurate.<strong>.<\/strong> Its highly dependent on the equipment being used and the objectivity of evaluators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The more data is collected the more accurate an athlete profile is created. \nFlexibility, stability, body composition, strength, power, speed and endurance can be measured.<\/p>\n<h3>BODY COMPOSITION<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish lean mass and fat<\/li>\n<li>Very accurate and objective<\/li>\n<li>A sport car that pulls additional 1 tonne is not a sport car anymore<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>FLEXIBILITY<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The ability of a joint or a group of joints  to move through a range of motion unrestricted in conjuction with muscles<\/li>\n<li>In sports its important to use strength from variuos positions<\/li>\n<li>Restricted range of motion or tigth muscle in certain ways could result in pain<\/li>\n<li>Even thoug mobility and flexibility itself does not decrease the chance of injury it lets you train in a way that changes muscular architecture which decreases chance of injury<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>STABILITY<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to control joint movement within the proper range of motion<\/li>\n<li>Stability is needed in every sport<\/li>\n<li>Part of injury prevention<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>STRENGTH<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The main muscular system function is to allow movement.<\/li>\n<li>Greater muscular strength is strongly associated with improved force and time characteristics which contribute overall performance of an anthlete<\/li>\n<li>The better relative strength is the more force an athlete can apply into the ground and run faster or jump higher<\/li>\n<li>Strength is linked to reduced injury rates<\/li>\n<li>Athletes should atleast have adequate strength levels<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>POWER<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Power is the ability to exert as much force as possible in the shortest amount of time<\/li>\n<li>Take-off power is one of the limiting factors in sports where lower body is needed<\/li>\n<li>Testing gives you the ability to see changes and focus on the most important variables in training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>SPEED<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Speed is a complex physical ability<\/li>\n<li>In sports speed could be expressed as the ability to move the body from point A to B in a short period od time<\/li>\n<li>Testings is simply measuring how fast a distance is covered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>ENDURANCE<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The ability to resist fatigue<\/li>\n<li>The less strength, speed or power decrease during training\/match the better<\/li>\n<li>Testing cardiovascular syste should resemble the sport (change of direction, rest periods etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pirmas \u017eingsnis, siekiant sudaryti sisteming\u0105 treniruo\u010di\u0173 program\u0105 &#8211; sporto testavimas.
